Compassion will ALWAYS win, even if only in the long run, as most people have a strong aversion to both unfairness and cruelty.

Very interesting point: "the government’s inaction will strengthen the case for direct action." How can kind people stand by when their elected officials do nothing to alleviate distress?

After emailing and phoning DA Gruenke for several days, I spoke with him directly today. I remained polite and civil throughout our conversation, urging him to protect the tortured beagle pups at Ridglan. Gruenke belligerently informed me that he was conducting a private investigation, that I was believing all the lies Online, and that I knew nothing. He was quite angry, accused me of insulting him (which I didn’t), complained that he was getting death threats on the phone and by email and told me not to call him again. I will continue to phone his office and email him and told him so. Then I ended the call.
