The climate change/crisis/emergency has failed because it failed to focus on the love of the environment, and instead was based on fear of the disaster awaiting us. Teaching children to love being in nature makes us all want to protect it. It avoids using divisive language and fearful tactics. We use camping and hiking as a gateway to becoming an environmental protector.
The vegan movements transition to animal rescue, which focuses on loving animals, does not exclude people. We can rescue animals simply by not eating factory farmed meat which pollutes the environment, degrades the livelihood of farmers and workers, and above all, is cruel.
