For animal activists, "intersectionality" with social-justice activists is a one-way street. We are supposed to help oppressed humans, many of whom don't care at all about oppressed animals. Many social justice warriors themselves are also speciesists. Human problems, including some issues of human rights, will never end because they are caused by human behavior. If we make animals wait until human problems are solved, they will wait forever. Since the most oppressed victims on the planet are animals, they cannot wait.
Unlike other animals, oppressed people (oppressed by their beloved fellow man) don't suffer as much indignity, hypocrisy, and mockery as other animals because oppressed people are not TOTALLY STRIPPED of any and all moral and legal standing, or completely stripped of lives worth living from conception to untimely death!
