Wow, this latest article has really blown me away & I'm only part way through it! I had to stop and cry... the realizations, the truth of the matter is that I have been dying inside ever since the young activist in me has subsided for fear of prison, the loss of tangible things like property, the small rescue that my wife and I took on personally to help local animals, etc. that we have worked for.

My stress levels in life are off the charts like never before between concerns with global warming impacts, to concerns about rising levels of violence and the life threatening disease that has left my wife vulnerable & frankly not at all herself to a lawsuit from tenants that we were providing affordable housing to. Where do you find an Oak/Berk/Emeryville 4 bed 2 bath, 1400sq' home for rent for $2200/month? Anyway, I digress- the point being this article is amazing, I can't wait to finish it and figure out how to get back to a life that brings meaning and reduces my stress and anxiety that are destroying me!

Great article! I’m glad the NYT is writing about this too. It definitely needs more exposure!

It is hard to cross those dangerous lines. I hope that the brave people who do decide that they can cross dangerous lines to help animals and the animal rights movement (and other important movements) know how much they are appreciated and needed by the entire world. #RightToRescue #OpenRescue #AnimalRescue #BeTheChange #GoActivist #ChangeTheWorld

Facing our fear and pushing through is the way to liberation. If we think of the victims fear and pain, our own fears will turn into action. To every activists paving the way, NEVER stop. We are winning.

So right on, Wayne! I talk with my clients all the time about how avoidance might feel comforting in the moment, but it only reinforces fear. We do drills all the time in the military that force us to face our fears. It's amazing how quickly fear can transform into empowerment.

Brave people like Patty are an inspiration for those who normally would not take risks.

May I add to this and I will keep it simple. Why has the human body changed from a normal looking figure to totally out of proportion gone from say 120 to 150 pounds of weight to 300 to 500 pounds of fat? Why is the male wearing a bra confused about its gender and unable to get it up without a pill? What has happened before and now is that there is no more top soil and 1000000 unnatural chemicals and red dies if you eat another species.? Before an unnatural species is killed it releases in its body a fear poison chemical that the one who eats another species gets in its body. Who are the killers making us ill and ignorant, the trillion dollar Cancer business, drug company or corp EVIL turning us into being fat lazy and the walking dead , why are America kids ill to profit the trillion dollar St Jude Cancer business in bed with the above killers. Why so much focus on illness in America and not the PREVENTION OF ILLNESS>
