Every day I’m out walking my dog, thinking of these beagles and others stuck in this situation. I hope all beagle testing will end or all animal testing.
Shouldn't you attack the demand? This is literally saying it's ok to experiment on dogs as long as you do it the right way. "Don't mutilate them unless it's by a professional! And use anesthetic!"
Thank you for resisting and not canceling Gary Yourofsky ! Not everyone can agree on everything . The fact that you created a culture where people would find ways to unify despite their differences speaks volume about you Wayne - you are truly a leader and one of my hero in this life !
I love the peaceful protests it makes a lot sense an glad it’s been a success so far . Good luck on the 19th on freeing the rest of the innocent ones . 🙏🏻💕
I so appreciate how you have not just announced that you were successful in an initiative, but how. This is a core element that I feel is often missing within animal advocacy movements and efforts. Success is hard to replicate without a road map, without understanding what worked and what didn't. Too often, I think, people mistake passion, care and desire for being enough to tackle injustice. It is wonderful how you have outlined both the things that worked well for your team, but also what challenges you faced and how to overcome them. In the end, so often the challenges are less about the issue you are trying to solve, and more about navigating with people situationally. I admire how you have outlined this so clearly. Wishing you the greatest success in the upcoming efforts, and hopeful that your work will serve both as an example and a motivator for future efforts towards bringing justice to many more animals - in labs, zoos, factory farms, trade/breeding and more.
I've started on reading Mary Poovey, "The discourse of statistics," 1993, 21 pps., working backwards for the sake of notes on the blank underside of the pdf pages. At pp. 275 [20] she references as how 'statistical representation' of the subject matter in the 1830s must have helped conjure a cosmogony of impersonal regard for life in urban industrial settings, in which the scope for power and abuse was 'enormous' as you say. What we observe at Ridglan and at other hotspots throughout the world manifests a cosmogony that stands mentally as much as physically, full of rules that are murky and carried out in secret as long as its being sold to us for old fashioned reasons. Feeling brave has got to come out of an old fashioned place as well, not as crowded by all the modern dementia. Hope this helps.
You might wanna Google what "safer spaces" means before decrying it. Especially given your history of the ongoing bigotry and misogyny from Curtis Vollmar on your leadership team; since he'll be responsible for adjudicating any reports of misconduct or harassment, answerable only to you.
Hi there! Thanks for this reply. Curtis is not on our leadership team, though he is a dear friend. I don't agree with everything he says and does—but that is ok. Movements need to tolerate differences, even ethical differences, in order to build the right culture to build and grow.
Not everyone is going to agree with this! Others will take a more exclusive approach. That is ok! I'd just hope that you can understand the disagreement is held in good faith.
Wouldn’t it make sense to have (transparent) policies and processes to create something like a Safer Space (call it whatever you want), given the history of allegations of misconduct, harassment, retaliation, etc, that have been repeatedly raised about you? Wouldn’t that help alleviate some concerns that people might have? For example, https://prismreports.org/2023/11/09/direct-action-everywhere-dxe-misconduct-retaliation/
Hello, I follow Curtis on Instagram.. I find him very astute and he has a quick mind. I'm sure he will be an excellent team leader.. I think it's a great pity, at this point, to be causing bad feeling over something which, while perhaps not to your taste, could be easily overlooked x
What does any of that have to do with what was put forth? Now we're overlooking crimes that may be committed against other activists just to "unify" for beagles?
Hold tight Dougy :) there hasn't been any 'crime', just a little hearted post on Instagram and a bit of over sensitivity.. but thanks for stepping up :)
Everyone going back is my hero. I’m
Also, nervous for your safety and the beagles.

Shut these damn places down that experiment on dogs and other animals!

I am so proud to be a small part of this. No mom’s no puppies no beagles left behind.
You are true heroes 💖💖💖
They really are ❤️❤️❤️ 🫡😇 they came here to carry out THE MISSION and God is well pleased! 🐾
They aren't. God gives 0 fucks about any of this.

So beautifully summed up, Wayne! Sending donations and support from Florida ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thank you!!!!

Just sending love and protective energy, wishing I could come with you.

See you in Wisconsin! One week away.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🐾🐾
I wish you love in accomplishing this. If I didn’t live in New York I’d be there. I am so proud of all of you.

Rescue the victims ! Singular brave focus.
The victimisers will be dealt with - get what they deserve - afterwards...
