You mentioned making calls to legislators. I have sent at least 6 emails to my congressman and senators since the compact act was announced. Are you saying that the phone calls are more effective? I know they're already sick of hearing from me. But I'll switch to calling if that does more good. ;-)

Here we are! September 27th, 2026, and still behaving like we are still in the Caveman Days! They call this a civilized society! Hell No! It's becoming more uncivilized. Period!! We are all mammals! Humans and animals with the same feelings of pain and emotions. Please, educate yourselves on the similarities between humans and animals. Love and protect all animals.

When it comes to dogs vs. lambs, dogs will always win out. That's because when you label some animals as "property," that definition is supposed to erase their inherent dignity, justifying treating them soley for their flesh, fleece, and dollar value. Dogs, on the other hand, are labeled "pets" or "family members," and that is supposed to define their "dignity," implying their "dignity" is special, apart from that of mere "livestock" commodities. Can we make a billboard and raise money to pay for it? I wouldn’t be the best for the verbiage. I’d get us all sued. But if we could figure out some good verbiage and direct people to an easy to remember website, perhaps that might give our cause more exposure??
I was personally involved in the social-media campaign to help free the beagles at Ridglan Farms, and I followed that effort closely.
I hope that you don’t mind, but I’m reaching out from Colorado because we’re fighting Amendment 83, and we desperately need more voices speaking up for wildlife.
I’m concerned that vague constitutional language like “traditional methods” and “preferred means” could make it harder to protect wildlife from harmful hunting and trapping practices.
Would you be willing to look into Amendment 83 and consider helping us raise awareness? Your voice could help us reach people who care about animals but don’t yet understand what’s at stake.
Experimenting on dogs is unnecessary and cruel and should never have been allowed.

My understanding is that phone calls are more effective.
The guidelines I’ve heard are:
1 email = one constituent cares about this issue
1 call = 10 constituents care about this issue
1 meeting with legislator/staff = 1000 constituents care about this issue
