It would be helpful if a lot of people can write to him expressing their support. The letters are all read by his captors, so if they see an influx of horror at the verdict it might help him get a lighter sentence.

Write a nice letter to him. Perhaps a good story from your childhood
It would be helpful if a lot of people can write to him expressing their support. The letters are all read by his captors, so if they see an influx of horror at the verdict it might help him get a lighter sentence.
That seems unlikely, but they will at least know that he is far from alone in his passion to reduce suffering in the world.
