Thanks for this very vivid story, Wayne. The social aspects are so interesting, but I could never dumpster dive. I understand it intellectually, whether someone is doing it out of desperation or as an anti-capitalism act. But emotionally, it is so out of my comfort zone that I would probably starve before doing it and I definitely would not have been able to find friends through it.

Pretty amazing story showing how these stores like Trader Joe’s hire mean people who won’t let people share garbage or even flowers!! Why can’t people have food that they have discarded????
