A one-sentence response to all the recent news on animal rights
A shallow dive is better than no dive at all. Plus, Lisa's rescheduled funeral.
I started this blog to dive deep. The shallowness of the modern media, and especially social media, is a major obstacle in making progress on the problems facing our nation and planet. But none of us has time to dive deep into everything. So here are __ one-sentence responses to recent news on animal rights.

Personhood for animals? Great media, but dramatically overstated importance, as Steve Wise points out.
Squid game protest in SF. The visuals are amazing and a creative way of deploying cultural triggers pursuant to Jonah Berger’s work.
Anthony Fauci and dog experiments. Important work and glad someone is doing it, but I’m also glad it’s not me/DxE.
McDonald’s plant-based burger is here. It’s fascinating because of how uneventful it seems.
A vegan is Mayor of NYC. Honestly, the other guy seemed pretty cool, too.
Some horse competitions dropped from the Olympics. Love it, but surprised that it had happened because the “abuse” video footage is pretty tame, by animal rights standards.

For those who can’t attend, or who are worried about COVID, it’s going to be entirely outdoors. And we are also going to put it on Facebook Live.
