Thanks for posting the Utah district court opinion. I agree it was more powerful in some sense because it was written carefully, almost cautiously, and didn’t overreach. There appears to be a sort of suspended, latent, intentionally inchoate recognition in many that our society is enabling a living horror of a scale and intensity it can be superficially easier not to have to confront. These repressive laws and the heavy handed prosecutions are forcing some even temperamentally conservative judges to begin to confront not only the unconstitutional coverups, but the horror it’s meant to hide. There is so much to think about in this post and the many links within and below it. This is intellectually rich, engaging activism, and, I hope, community building.

You mean Judge Murray's decision on the Utah ag gag law, I assume? It's a great opinion. Shocking that it came from a Republican judge.
