They will lie to your face every step of the way, and then ambush you when you go to make your move. These things will not be forgotten.

Just donated $150. It’s the LEAST I can do. Your cause is just and noble and I admire Wayne and his organization. Wayne is resilient, highly intelligent and more powerful than he will ever know. He’s doing what so many of us wish we could do. Stay strong…all of you. You are being seen and heard. Shame on Ridgelan Farms.

so sad...but you folks are AMAZING!!!

When I was young, I thought that people were inherently good. But as I have grown older, I have learned that with the exception of painfully few, people are inherently evil! If there were a thousand people about to fall over a cliff, I would chose to save the one dog standing there without a moment’s hesitation!

Free the Animals's avatar

Yes same, I thought once everyone saw what happens to animals, they would go vegan but no they are not good

Julie Harris's avatar

I THINK THAT MOSTLY BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO KNOW

BECAUSE THEN THEY WOULD HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT-

PEOPLE HAVE BECOME VERY LAZY -ITS SOMEONE ELSE'S PROBLEM ....

ABUSE AND CRUELTY TOWARDS ANIMALS AFFECTS US ALL -OUR RESPONSIBILITY

What's the piece of scripture - "Forgive them for they know not what they do" ? The way I see it we humans are evolved generalist parasites, with the "macroparasites" running the show. We've also evolved into money-grubbers, which is just part of it. There are many parts to it (the ability to lie, deny, and abuse trust for example...).

That's a tough nut to crack - but it MUST be done!

I admire the courage of every single person who showed up for the beagles today. The behavior of police and Ridglan Farms' goons was horrifying and absolutely unnecessary. They obviously got their kicks out of having passive victims to gas and shoot with their rubber bullets. I hope every news agency in America covers this despicable and shameful incident.

I hope your legal team is on it and you and everyone there is safe. So sad for the dogs, for whom all this is about.

Lisa N Mellinger's avatar

Very sad! That tells me they are for animal abuse

What a shameful response by authorities to saving animals that we have purposely put in harm’s way!

the best thing about this movement is that we know it will never give up.

Thanks for all you do!

God bless you Wayne

Don’t keep doing more of the same. Explore every possible avenue to secure the safety of the dogs short of breaking the law. Your first opportunity is at hand. The Sheriff committed to a “walk through” to assess the conditions inside the facility. Make sure it happens. Seek political support from the Dane County Board of Supervisors to ensure that representatives of Dane County Humane Society, local veterinarians, Blue Mounds town board members, etc. are invited to join the walk-through. All the historical actions you refer to were grounded in the local communities. Consider a very recent huge success story with moral similarities to the situation in Blue Mounds: the movement against immigrant detention centers. Most of the Dane County community has no idea of what’s going on inside Ridglan and why the rescue effort was necessary. The sensationalist headlines today may be all they see. That must not be end of the story.

An announced walk-through is an absolute joke and must be considered invalid! They probably got rid of the sickest dogs already.

LeAnn's avatar

I agree, it can't be announced. Where are all the Hollywood elite dog lovers? Need some more big names on board.

Free the Animals's avatar

Get the numbers of everyone that showed up and come back again unannounced. Then it will be successful.

We should react with the same courage and non-violent determination that the rescuers displayed today to free the dogs from Ridglan’s unconscionable ongoing abuse. The police and security guards responded by attacking both young people and seniors alike who were simply trying to rescue the innocent dogs from a life from hell.

Free the Animals's avatar

Do other actions while you have people. Other animals in labs. Monkeys in UW Madison.

Catherine Desjarlais's avatar

Yes and mother pigs in hellish cages and hens and ducks and geese and calves not to mention other animals trapped in hell.

LeAnn's avatar

Can you imagine the good that could be accomplished if all the money being paid to anti-ICE protesters was put to a worthy cause like this?? WOW!!

Michael Viara's avatar

Reorganize and redeploy in larger numbers and with more resources (ie, gas masks, media, etc). That’s the only next step.

Peggy Crowl's avatar

Gas masks and media, lots of media, I like it! They can’t fight the media!

Your analysis of this situation looks sound to me. This is sure to grow out of Ridglan's control, and the deceptive, corrupt, 'lawmen' control. The state and local are definitely relying on the racism/speciesism that Trump has been pumping along with Oil and absolutist, o so Talibanish, girls' school bombings. All for daily hamburgers, hotrods, beers.
