As I have said MANY times to you, Wayne, I TRULY wish I could be a part of this revolutionary whirlwind to rescue The Ridglan beagles. What you have built is amazing and I hope everything you have eloquently laid out on this post, comes to fruition ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

Here's to the whirlwind, nonviolence, and keeping the dogs centered in every aspect of this action. Thank you for the update!

Have you guys reached out to Rocky Kanaka, youtube show "Sitting with Dogs"? Or what about Cesar Millan? They might be able to help find rescue resources and placings for large numbers of dogs. Just a thought. Marina is a great writer - so glad she's covering this unfolding story. I'll share the story using your comms suggestions.

Not a fan of Cesar. He abuses dogs.

I'm happy to help review media from the March rescue but the email doesn't appear to be working ...

How exactly is any of this leading to widespread changes for animals, let alone in the vivisection industry? Wasn't your father a vivisectionist? Can you please link me to his essay condemning vivisection? Thanks in advance!

It brings awareness. There is no need for Beagle farms like this anymore. It must end. Is it fair to torture and keep them in cages 24 hours a day? You do not need a report. Just look at the pictures.

My father was a scientist during my early childhood. He studied mice and rats. It is equally bad.

Hello Natalie, I'm not American but I'm seeing a lot of posts about the FDA ending animal testing.. you are so right about public awareness, these industries are no longer relevant and hopefully we are seeing their last breaths โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ

The Myth: Viral photos of governors signing "beagle testing bans" are often recycled clickbait. No such blanket ban exists yet in the US.

โ€ข Federal Progress: Laws like the FDA Modernization Act are pushing drug companies toward high-tech, non-animal alternatives (like computer simulations and human-cell models).ย

โ€ข State Progress: "Beagle Freedom" bills usually only guarantee retirement and adoption rights for dogs and cats after testing is doneโ€”rarely protecting rodents or rabbits.

โ€ข The Timeline Catch: Major shifts, like the EPA's goal to defund mammal testing, are targeted for 2035.ย

โ€ข Fact-Checking Tip: If a post claiming a law passed doesnโ€™t include a specific bill number (like HR 2821), be skeptical!

I wonder if there's really any need to organize a 'whirlwind?' The Bible speaks of wind and storm that 'carrieth away' rootless volunteers in social pathologies when 'God in his anger distributeth sorrows' [Job 21: 17, 18]. Personally I have all I can do to reflect on the reasons and causes of my own rootless estrangement through the years as I came and went with fleeting experiences of uplifting associations. Things like this are often catching my notice-- https://pbs.org/newshour/show/more-states-legalize-medically-assisted-suicide-for-terminal-patients , https://madinamerica.com/2026/03/eugenics-mad-consciousness-conversation-susanne-paola-antonetta/ [podcast] . Non-participation in reckless futurism draws the hazardous attention of the machine age keepers of profit from little or mean services offered-- https://counterpunch.org/2026/04/01/why-capitalism-relies-on-nature-and-care-work-it-does-not-pay-for/ , https://storyteller.iom.int/stories/seventeen-years-later-healing-begins-anew-village-viet-nam .

Hello James, I'm not pretending to follow all the points you have made, but as it has a biblical reference I'm wondering what Jesus would do? He was a bit of a whirlwind himself by all accounts..

James Greene's avatar

I'm guessing Jesus, if he couldn't still the storm of Vespasian in A.D. 60, as he did the wind in the Sea of Galilee [Mark 4: 39], might have joined a great many who sought shelter in underground caverns, or in hillside caves along the Dead Sea, as the Roman troops trod the land and laid siege to Jerusalem. Rome would have its turn, but for a long while the followers of Jesus became desert cenobites, and gathered in catacombs, for wanting to have done with a culture of slavery and sadistic pastimes ruinous to friendship.

Hmm, doesn't sound all that likely to me, he seemed pretty up front, but all the best James
