She didn’t lie- we would do it all over again! you are an inspiration many of us hope to continue to follow to new horizons.

I can't wait to see what we can accomplish together next! Thank you for risking it all for the animals, Wayne.

You and White Coat Waste are slowly moving the world in the right direction, with indispensable help from many other animal welfare organisations. Well done!

Dougy's avatar

You mean there were already organizations devoted to getting dogs out of testing labs?!? 🤯

Mongibello's avatar

Yes, White Coat Waste is very active in closing down labs.

You showed up on my Facebook feed after your rescue in March and I’ve never been the same. Thank you for opening my eyes to what is still taking place out there. I am one of the mini who thought all these years that it had ended all the cruelty to the animals and the lab testing. Many out there think that this is not happening so I knew I was not alone. To be able to share in the April 18 rescue attempt with heartwarming and life-changing. Yes I was very sad at the Results from the police and not being able to carry a pup out. But I tell you, you are an inspiration to anyone and I would follow you again. Thank you, Wayne for the amazing experience and I hope that we can help the beautiful monkeys that are still being tortured and all those beautiful animals still in these places. Especially that huge one in New York. What happened on April 18 was hard for everyone, but if it wasn’t for you, I don’t think it would be such a great turning point in what we saw today in 1500 of Ridgelan dogs being released.

Once these Beagles are safe it’s time to focus on Marshall Farms in Rose NY. They have 4,000 beagles not to mention ferrets, cats and mini pigs bred for testing!

It seems it would make most sense to attack the place doing the most harm... 🤔

Puppies being tortured and cows being eaten -- there are similarities on the cruelty scale, but most people will unfortunately not see the link. People will rally around "save the puppies" but that doesn't mean that animal liberation is just around the corner. We still have a long and difficult road ahead.

I was thinking about this too. I wonder what the turn out for chickens would’ve been in similar circumstances? And whether the media coverage would’ve been at all sympathetic?

I’d love to think there is more to learn from this but I worry that the reason people were more united was due to the animals being dogs.

I’m so glad that some will be safe, but I’m not sure it’s an indicator of a way forward for other animals.

I’d love to be proven wrong.

Shhhhhhh Wayne is trying to get his grift on! Let him get his money!!!

Sandra Z's avatar

Ok wait what, why didn't you mention that the dogs had been purchased by some animal organizations? I received an email to that effect yesterday, is it true or not?!

Natalie's avatar

Ha, it's a crap deal. They purchased something like 1500. No stipulation of surrendering their licenses. Meaning they got a million dollars in their pockets to continue breeding and testing on the other dogs. All over social media, they are calling this a victory. Is there, or will there be, another 2000 beagles in the same position?

Asher B.'s avatar

These seem unwarranted concerns.

What is now happening is hardly a crap deal if you're a dog that has lived its life in a cage, and now will be adopted into a home.

And Ridglan is not in fact going to continue breeding, they have agreed in prior settlement to surrender their breeding license as of July 1 of this year.

Let's take the dub.

Natalie's avatar

They can buy beagles

Natalie's avatar

They can still breed just not sell? They can do testing on the remaining dogs.

I am commenting on your April 18th feedback report. Looks solid in most respects, the moral high ground and the physical relief goals are sustaining obviously.

1)The publicity around the day's committed expression, even as indicated by the horridness of the crackdown, was better than anyone, even you, foretold. So unexpected consequences past can point to better future practices.

2) I think some of the difficulties faced arise from the singleness of savethedogs' purpose vs the wider implications of its potential, in numerous fields. Various groups have various views of animals. The negative views are the bulk of what firearms, criminal charges, da, prosecutor, police etc come out to represent in regimentation. Anlmal liberation has serious implications for nutrition science, parenting, medicine, urban planning, commerce and religion/cosmology. All these things lock up law enforcement in aggressive strictures that to say the least were unexpected on the 18th. Instead of adopting the disclosed FEMA process, I would think in the long term, a more finetuned one, a hybrid carefully thought out internally by/for the organization, should serve better.

This is a historic moment and one can only hope that the future of animal confinement and all forms of cruelty can end. This may seem overly optimistic but with all the attention this cause has been brought to the forefront; anything can be achieved.

Dougy's avatar

False. Literally nothing has been achieved.

You must not be employed because you seem to have a lot of time to troll these pages and leave nothing but nasty and negative comments! Go away and find a hobby other than bothering people who are actually making a positive difference in this world. And if you don’t agree with people are doing here, then go find other pages with people who have the same sick mindset as you.

What a stupid bitch. How long do you think it takes to comment? Even if I was unemployed do you think that attacks my arguments? What is Wayne's current job? Do you think people with worthwhile jobs can pack up and head to Wisconsin to risk arrest? I have a sick mindset because despite all this effort, time, money, activists...vivisection continues, animal agriculture continues, and Ridglan continues with more money and 1,000 dogs under their roof? What an absolute moron.

Dougy's avatar

Put it up your ass, tard.

motherharp's avatar

Your scant suggestions that you have some interest in animal liberation are providing you a foot in the door here to deliver toxic waste, your social vivisection.

Darcy's avatar

I missed the zoom call as I only just read this today. Will make the next one.

Dougy's avatar

This changes nothing. The vivisection industry continues as usual. The animal agriculture industry continues as usual. I'm amazed that you're patting yourself on the back over...this. This is why I keep saying the animal rights sphere is DEAD.
