Thanks again Wayne, always top form. An animal justice party Aotearoa New Zealand has just been created, we're going to try our best to make it into government next year's elections.

It seems you are getting to the heart of the issue. Really great blog, as usual, and not at all confusing. It actually explains something I experienced at our lunch yesterday after court in Sonoma County. There is a palpable deep connection between several of you who were there. Those of us who are newer can sense it -- at times it feels like an impenetrable wall, but then at the same time your sense of ease with each other and common purpose is infectious. I knew it had to do with trust, and time, but it's bigger than that, and now it makes more sense: you've rescued together.

And I just have to say, the podcast interview/conversation with you and Gene Bauer is absolutely incredible. So deep, so honest and inspirational. It takes me back to my hippie roots of childhood in the 70s when my single mom raised me vegetarian. She was so passionate about all things natural and good. I have to think Gene must have had something to do with that, even if indirectly (she was not a Dead Head). But I really love how you insisted on going deeper, probing, seeking the story within the story within the story of what he was saying. Way to peel back the layers!! Much appreciated and very insightful Wayne. The only thing is I cannot find a share button on the podcast itself. Can anyone help me with this?

I couldn't agree more! I've been always saying that once we, as a society, start to treat animals better and care for them instead of (ab)use them, will we create a better, more humane world in which we will also treat each other better. Thank you for all you do in creating that better world!

Great topic with hope for future generations to care for animals.
