Masters of a manufactured sense of 'Learned Helplessness'. The same mental affliction that causes abused and battered spouses/partners to repeatedly return and even defend or make excuses for their abuser. The same mental affliction that causes some of the planet's most powerful and intelligent animals to submit to human abuse and confinement throughout the world's various attractions and zoos.

Dwelling in a realm of candy-coated facades. Bastardized bulwarks of self harm.

So sad. So dang frustrating.

In regards to this week's survey, a piece on social media would be a nice companion to this most recent post. I do think a piece on the numerous angles of importance pertaining to the upcoming trial would definitely be of great value and most certainly should be written in the very near future.

Word up, thank you much!

You know I actually have corresponded briefly with the man who first did the learned helplessness experiments on dogs? Hoping to have him on the podcast, as bizarre as that may sound....

But thanks for this feedback Dave.

Wow, that's nuts! That could be interesting, informative, and perhaps enraging.

It's probably worth considering that the people who lost their jobs view the AR movement as the reason that their job was cut. Or that's how it could be spun by the corporations.

Yes, they try to get people to believe the AR activism is the reason for lost jobs when our goal is to save the planet so we have homes, jobs and a healthy place to live. We do consider everyone. Wayne's & DxE investigations exposed worker abuse as well. We want the animal industry to be switched to plant industries to make jobs that sustain life on earth.

Indeed. And there's some truth to this, sadly.

Walmart and the big box stores starve the mom and pop stores out of existence and ship the local economy to Arkansas, or into hidden off shore bank accounts. The super low prices are the drugs the people need when the surrounding population gets poorer from such predatory practices.. The elixir will be when people realize through necessity from greenhouse gas emissions that they will not only thrive without heavy import / export of goods and services but will be healthier and happier as communities will not be poisoned with processed foods or the environment polluted by profit minded corporations..

Very true, Lee. Walmart is such a strange case. Have you done any digging into their practices? Any good articles?
